Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color - Blush

Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color – Blush – Neutral Pink Brown – Swatches, Review, and Ingredients

just got my hands on a Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color and boy am I excited. (This is where some of you may roll your eyes. But I’m seriously excited! It’s like being the first person to know a secret!) As far as I can tell, this brand new lipstick is not yet widely available and may be in pre-order status at some stores. However you can already check out the color selection on Bobbi’s site.

For my first time using this new lip color, I chose to get “Blush,” which is described as a “neutral pink brown,” and which sounded close to a nude color in my mind. The lipstick comes in the signature Bobbi packaging used for her Lip Color, which is different than what she uses for the Creamy and Sheer lip colors. In any case, I love Bobbi’s Lipsticks and would own every single one if I could.

OK now. I may as well just get right to it and show you how this pretty girl looks:

Now let me show you how creamy and buttery it is when swatched on my hand:

Let’s first talk about the color. Blush is truly a neutral shade with a predominant brown tone. If you use Bobbi, you know she does cool colors like no one else.

Some of my favorites over the years have been Pale Pink and Powder Pink Pot Rouges, Peony Powder Blush, Ballet Pink Sheer Lip Color (not as much a cool color but lovely anyway), Rosy Lip Gloss, Popsicle Sheer Color Lip Gloss (limited edition), and my all time favorite, Cloud Lip Gloss (in pan form for a custom palette) which I haven’t seen around in years now. Anyhow, Blush is not one of the cool pinks I love from Bobbi, but it’s a great nude shade that I’d wear during the day.

Now about the texture and other qualities: it’s as smooth, creamy, and build-able (thickness wise) as you’d expect and want from a product with “nourishing” in its title. I found that after one pass my lips felt covered with product. This lipstick is a bit buttery, which results in a natural shine on the mouth. There is no taste or smell associated with this product, and I found it easy to forget it was on my lips.

So, do I like this lipstick? Do I want to try other colors? YES! YES! I am anticipating trying other colors very soon!
