Bobbi Brown Tube Tints for Summer 2016 in Telluride (A Flat Plum) and Naked (A Nude Brown): Swatch and Review
Just when I thought I’d tried every new Bobbi Brown product for Summer of 2016, she releases even more things! Today I’m looking at her limited edition, re-release of Tube Tints ($23 for .5 oz). I bought two of the four available colors: Naked (“A nude brown”) and Telluride (“A flat plum”). Also available are Bare Shimmer (“A Champagne with Pearl”) and Twilight Shimmer (“A Pink brown with shimmer”).
In case you were wondering, I did receive the two colors of Colorescience Sunforgettable Lip Shine SPF 35 ($29 for .12 oz – available at Colorescience.com) that referred to having ordered in this post. And well, I’m not surprised, that I love both of these colors.

I won’t belabor the fact that you need SPF, and I won’t repeat that I believe physical sunscreen is the way to go. I won’t tell you again how difficult it is to find products that I deem “natural” and acceptable, and that I want to use. Instead I’m going to tell you about the product I’ve been using and loving ever since it came to my doorstep.
Tarte Lipsurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint and Gloss- “Energy” & e.l.f. Gotta Glow – Swatches and Review: Color Adjusting Series Part 7 and Redux
In Parts 1-6 of the Color Adjusting Lip Series I reviewed a total of 13 lip tints, balms, and glosses that change color when applied to the lips. Of the 13 I’ve shown you, 3 came from bargain brands, 6 from mid-level brands, and 4 from luxe brands. Today I’m adding to that list one more from a bargain brand, e.l.f., and two more from a mid-level brand, Tarte.
Let’s look back at some photos of the products in Parts 1- 6. Below the image gallery you’ll see a link to a table that shows the 13 reviewed products as well as the products yet to come in Parts 8 and 9.
Spring 2016 Launch: Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Lipgloss- Pearl- 259 and Tell Me Dior- 369: Review and Swatches
Have you heard anything yet about Dior’s Spring 2016 (re)launch of Addict Ultra-Gloss? You know there is a Dior Addict Lip Gloss of course, but this is Ultra Gloss.
What’s the difference? Per Dior, Addict Ultra-gloss is a “lip plumper and gloss all in one.” It supposedly “produces a natural volume effect instantly and day after day.” That is because it’s “bursting with hyaluronic acid spheres that capture and retain the surrounding water.” It is meant to “quench lips, leaving them full and lastingly moisturized. With 70% mirror-shine stretch oils, Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss glides smoothly over the lips to create a spectacular glossy effect with a film so fine and comfortable you almost forget it’s there.” (These are not my words. Credit to Dior for phrases in quotation marks.)
