I found something totally new and exciting without even trying. Isn’t that the best way to discover things? I first tried RealHer Lipstick this past month. I would be surprised if you had tried this lipstick too, or even if you had heard of the brand yet! I only found it because it was available for review through an Amazon review site I recently joined. (About that: basically if you purchase and review a lot of items on Amazon.com, then you may be an asset to brands/sellers, who want real people to give real reviews of their products. The reality today is that shoppers want to buy things that have been reviewed by others first.) I bought RealHer Lipstick in “I Define Beauty Myself” at a discount in exchange for agreeing to try it and then write a review on Amazon.com.

I did not expect to be so impressed with the lipstick. I had scanned the ingredients before opting to order it, and they looked good and relatively pared down. I noted there was no added fragrance and that lanolin was an ingredient (not a “vegan” ingredient– but one that I find works wonders on my lips.) But I really appreciated the lack of fragrance once I tried it on.

RealHer Lipstick Ingredients: Diisostearyl malate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Polyethylene, Shea Butter, Phytosteryl, Lauroylglutamate, Beeswax, Hexadecene Copolymer, Macadamia Oil, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Lanolin, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, PGPR, Water, Glycerin, Sodium, Hyaluronate, Polyquaternium 51, Sodiumpca, Trehalose, Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate), Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol

I was pleasantly surprised by the lipstick at first application. It went on so smoothly (like velvet… or butta) and stayed on my lips for longer than I had expected. The formula felt like a balm to me. I seriously kept going back to apply more because of how good it felt going on.

This lipstick is:

-fragrance free

-moisturizing

-true to color when applied

-creamy

-saturated with color

After trying the color “I Define Beauty Myself” (which is described as mauve), I went back to search for other RealHer products on Amazon. I didn’t find any! So I looked for the brand website. I found out that RealHer is just about as new and fresh as can be. It’s so young that it has only released this one product — but their second product, which is a liquid lipstick, is expected to come out this fall.

What first drew me in was the lipstick itself, and then the price. But once I read about the company on RealHer.com I got into the entire brand concept they are promoting. This is a company that includes inspirational quotes with all of their products! They are about real women of all sizes and colors. I’m not an activist type, but who can find fault with a brand like this, which promotes modern day feminism and female power?

I reached out to the brand via their website. And I was lucky (and extremely thrilled!) that RealHer sent me four more colors from their lipstick collection to try and show off to everyone! (Thank you, RealHer!) Check out these colors and take a look at them swatched on my hand:

I urge you to try this lipstick if you’ve been wanting something new. It’s sold for about $10 or $11 here on Amazon. Out of the five colors I have now, my favorites for everyday are “I Define Beauty Myself” and “I Love Myself” (mauve and nude colors).

I’m excited to see what else RealHer does, aren’t you?

Let me know if you are going to try this!
